Frequently Asked Questions

What is the typical budget for a bespoke wedding dress?

Most brides invest between £1,500 and £2,500 for a fully bespoke wedding dress, individually designed and handcrafted in my North London atelier.

The final price depends on the complexity of the design, the fabrics selected, the amount of hand-finishing involved, and any special details such as lace appliqué, beading or an extended train.

For brides seeking a simpler silhouette or a shorter-length dress, prices may vary. The best way to receive an accurate quotation is to arrange a consultation, where we can discuss your ideas, preferred style and budget in detail.

What is included in the price?

My bespoke service is designed to provide a complete and personal experience from the initial consultation to the finished gown.

The price includes:

  • Personal design consultation
  • Pattern drafting and dressmaking
  • All fabrics, linings and haberdashery required for your gown
  • A toile (test garment) created specifically for your design
  • Two to three fittings, with additional fittings arranged if required
  • A protective garment bag for your finished dress
  • Complimentary alterations for up to 30 days after collection, provided no major design changes are requested

My aim is to ensure that your gown fits beautifully and reflects your vision perfectly.

Will there be any additional charges after the price has been agreed?

No.

Once the final design has been approved and the total price confirmed, no additional charges will be applied.

The quoted price remains fixed unless significant design changes are requested after approval, or new requirements are introduced that were not discussed during the original consultation.

I believe in complete transparency, allowing you to proceed with confidence and without unexpected costs.

How long does a bespoke wedding dress take to create?

Most bespoke wedding dresses take approximately 12–16 weeks to create.

This allows time for the design process, sourcing fabrics, creating the toile, fittings and final finishing. More complex designs may require additional time.

If your wedding date is approaching sooner, please get in touch and I will do my best to accommodate your schedule.

How many fittings are included?

All bespoke wedding dresses include at least two to three fittings.

Additional fittings can be arranged if necessary to achieve the perfect fit and ensure you feel comfortable and confident on your wedding day.

Can I choose my own fabrics and materials?

Absolutely.

I offer a carefully curated selection of over 300 silk and lace samples, sourced from trusted London suppliers and specialist fabric houses.

During your consultation, you will be able to explore different fabrics, textures and colours, and I will guide you towards the materials that best complement your design and budget.

Do you make mother of the bride dresses?

Yes.

I create bespoke mother of the bride dresses and occasion wear tailored to each client’s individual style, figure and requirements.

Prices vary depending on the design and fabric selection. For example, a silk outfit may differ significantly in price from a design made using alternative materials.

Please contact me to discuss your ideas and I will be happy to provide a personalised quotation.

Do you offer fittings and alterations?

Yes.

All bespoke and made-to-measure garments include fittings throughout the creation process to ensure a flattering silhouette and excellent fit.

I also provide complimentary alterations for up to 30 days after collection, provided that major design changes are not requested.

Can you create matching accessories?

Yes.

I can advise on and create coordinating accessories to complement your gown, including wedding veils, ring pillows and other bespoke finishing touches.

These details can be discussed during your consultation to ensure every element works beautifully together.

Do I need to live in London?

Not at all.

Many clients travel from elsewhere in the UK and overseas to commission a bespoke gown. We can discuss the number of fittings required and create a schedule that works around your location and wedding plans.
