Artistry and Dedication

 

This tea-length wedding dress showcases the artistry and dedication I bring to every Bespoke creation. I carefully blend elegance with personal touches to turn a client’s vision into reality. Each dress is unique, reflecting both my craft and the individuality of the bride.

Luxurious Silk Bodice

 

I crafted the bodice from luxurious silk dupion. Its subtle sheen and crisp texture exude sophistication and structure. The top features a graceful keyhole neckline, offering a timeless yet contemporary appeal. A structured stand collar adds refinement and a polished finish, giving the dress a distinctive elegance.

Comfortable and Elegant Sleeves

 

The short sleeves provide both comfort and elegance, perfectly suited for a wedding celebration. They balance the formality of the bodice with a light, delicate touch, allowing freedom of movement while maintaining sophistication.

Special Skirt with Rich Heritage

 

The skirt is made from the client’s own Chinese hand-printed blue nankeen fabric (100% cotton). Nankeen is known for its deep indigo dye and intricate patterns, created through a traditional resist-dyeing technique. Its slightly textured surface and vibrant blue tones carry a sense of history and artistry.

Because the fabric is narrow—only 38 cm wide—I carefully cut seven panels to create a flowing, tea-length silhouette. This method preserves the continuity of the hand-printed patterns while maximising the fabric’s beauty. The skirt celebrates both the cultural significance of nankeen and the personal meaning it holds for the client.

Attention to Detail

 

To enhance the fit and design, I added three tucks on each panel at the waist, creating subtle gathers that add structure and charm. This meticulous construction ensures the skirt drapes beautifully and highlights the hand-printed patterns. Every stitch reflects careful craftsmanship and a commitment to quality.
