I created a delicate beaded lace top in ivory, carefully designed to complement the bride’s existing wedding dress. She wished to enhance her bridal look with an additional layer that felt both refined and harmonious with her gown. By selecting lace with intricate floral patterns and hand-applied beading, I ensured the new piece blended seamlessly with the dress while adding a subtle sparkle.

 

Slip-Over Style with Comfort

 

The top follows a slip-over style, so the bride can wear it easily without the need for zips, buttons, or hooks. This simple construction keeps the focus on the lace and beadwork, while also offering comfort and freedom of movement. The clean finish at the neckline and hem creates an elegant silhouette that frames the dress beautifully.

Fabric and Craftsmanship

 

For this project, the bride and I discussed and chose the fabric together, ensuring the lace matched her vision for the day. We selected a fine French lace in ivory, woven with delicate threads that provide both lightness and strength. I then embellished the lace with hand-sewn glass beads, adding a glimmer that catches the light gracefully. The combination of the airy lace and the subtle beading produces a luxurious effect without overpowering the original gown.
