I recently had the pleasure of creating this bespoke cocktail dress for a very special client — a piece that beautifully combines timeless elegance with a modern, refined silhouette. Crafted with exquisite Leavers lace and lined with luxurious silk crepe-back satin in a delicate blossom pink, this dress was designed to celebrate femininity, grace, and quiet sophistication.
A One-of-a-Kind Dress for a One-of-a-Kind Client
This dress is entirely bespoke, made to measure for my client from start to finish. From the initial consultation to the final fitting, every step of the process was guided by her unique preferences, body shape, and the occasion she had in mind. The result is a dress that not only flatters her silhouette but also expresses her personality — subtle, graceful, and elegant.
Timeless Lace, Thoughtful Details
Leavers lace, woven on traditional 19th-century lace looms, is a true artisan material — fine, detailed, and incredibly soft. For this dress, I layered the lace over silk to create a delicate interplay between texture and transparency. The bodice features a sheer lace yoke, revealing just enough skin for a refined allure, while the three-quarter sleeves and hemline are finished with classic scalloped edges.
These fine details — the way the lace motifs are placed, the gentle scallop at the cuffs and hem, the smooth seams — all come together to create a feeling of lightness and craftsmanship that machine-made lace simply cannot replicate.
Soft Silk for a Sumptuous Feel
The foundation of the dress is a pale pink 100% silk crepe-back satin. It has a subtle lustre and a wonderfully fluid drape, allowing the garment to move naturally with the body. This fabric feels gentle against the skin, offering both comfort and elegance — an essential quality for any dress that might be worn for an extended period at formal gatherings.
At the waist, I added a narrow silk satin belt in the same shade, creating definition while maintaining the soft, romantic aesthetic of the overall look.

Whether attending a wedding, a formal dinner, or a sophisticated evening reception, this dress brings understated glamour to any event. The blossom pink hue is soft yet distinct — flattering to many skin tones and beautifully suited to candlelit settings or daylight affairs alike.
